10. Tournament groups and entry fees:

Tournament A is open for players rated 2000 (Elo) and higher, with GM and IM norms available.

Entry fee: 130 PLN

Tournament B is open for players rated below 2000.

Entry fee: 100 PLN

A and B tournaments will be Elo rated.

Tournament C (chess prodigies) is open for players born 2000 and later.

Entry fee: 50 PLN

11. System of play and time control:

Tournaments A and B: Swiss system, 9 rounds. Time rate: 90 min. for 40 moves + 30 min. for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

Tournament C: Swiss system, 7 rounds. Time rate: 60 min. for the game (no increment).

Tournament C: item prizes for all children.

Remarks:

Prizes are not shared.

Not more than 2 prizes can be given to a player. If he wins more prizes, he receives the 2 highest. If the value of the prizes is equal, the player receives (if applicable) prizes in the following order:

for the final place

for the best girl (in the youngest category applicable)

for the best boy (in the youngest category applicable)

for the best player born 1950 or earlier

for the best woman

for the best place in rating groups (in as low rating group as possible)

All prizes are shown before taxes, the income tax of 10% will be deducted. According to the Polish law all prizes below 760 PLN are free of taxation.

ATTENTION! Applications, entry fees and hotel payments (if the organizer’s suggested hotel is chosen) should be sent by the 30th of June 2010.

For applications submitted later, the entry fees rise by 50 PLN.

- on the 17th of July 2010 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Warsaw Sports and Recreation Centre, ul. Polna 7a (attention: only for foreign participants!)

14. Verification:

The list of the participants will be regularly updated and published on the website www.poloniachess.pl, and the final list will be posted up for the verification by the players on 17th of July 2010 in the playing hall at 4 pm.

15. Special Conditions:

free participation: Grandmasters and Women Grandmasters.

free accomodation and meals at the hotel of the Warsaw Sports and Recreation Centre, ul.Polna 7a, from 16.07.2010 till 26.07.2010 in a double room: 14 GMs in Tournament A (in order of application).

All the participants of the Festival may use the swimming-pool of the Centre free of charge daily from 8 pm till 10 pm.

16. Hotels:

The Organizer offers accommodation in the Etap Hotel (2 bus stops from the playing venue) from 17.07.2010 till 25.07.2010. Prices of accommodation:

Single room (with a bathroom, breakfast not included): 1040 PLN for the whole stay (8x130 PLN)

Double room (with a bathroom, breakfast not included): 520 PLN per person for the whole stay (8x65 PLN)

Triple room (with a bathroom, breakfast not included): 480 PLN for the whole stay (8x60 PLN).

Attention: the Etap Hotel is situated near the Torwar sport hall, where you can have cheap meals in the restaurant.

Attention: the organizer also offers 10 triple rooms in the hotel of the Sports and Recreation Centre (playing venue). Accommodation with full board only (buffet). Price: 960 PLN per person for the whole stay (8x120 PLN), from the 17th of July (lunch) till the 25th of July.

17. Insurance: The players have to insure themselves for health and accident risk.
